In the center of the square is the Francisco Cantón Rosado Park and La Mestiza, a fountain dedicated to Yucatecan women, which has become an emblem of the city. It is a place with small souvenir kiosks and street food.
Right in front of the square is the Church of San Servacio (or Cathedral of San Gervasio), the most important church in Valladolid.
Also on the main square is the City Hall.
Go up to the second floor: there are paintings presenting the history of Valladolid, and some photos taken since 1920. You can also get a nice view of the square and the park from the balcony.
The House of the Deer is a large colonial house that houses a private museum dedicated to Mexican folk art.
Here you'll find 3,000 objects from all over the country, collected by John and Dorianne Venator, an American couple who fell in love with Mexico.
This is a free museum in Valladolid to discover its history, from pre-Hispanic times to the revolutionary period.
It is located in a historic building, where a chapel was first built (16th century), which became the first hospital in Valladolid and later the San Roque convent.
